Veterinarians + Co-Owners
Growing up, Dr. Jennifer Le always knew she wanted to do something in the medical field but was unsure whether she wanted to work with humans or animals. During her sophomore year of undergrad, one of her kitties, Bozo, was diagnosed with lymphoma. He received chemo and radiation treatment at Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists, but his liver unfortunately gave out after 6 months. Visiting him in the ICU before he passed away made her realize she wanted to help other animals like him as well as their owners.
Born and raised in Houston, TX, Dr. Le attended high school in the surrounding area at Klein Forest. She graduated from the University of Houston (Go Coogs!) with a BS in biochemistry and double minors in chemistry and psychology in 2005. She didn’t make it into veterinary school the first year she applied, but because she knew she wanted to someday own her own veterinary hospital, she decided to pursue a Master of Business Administration degree while waiting to apply again. She stayed an additional 2 years at the University of Houston and obtained a Master of Business Administration degree with a Certificate in Entrepreneurship in 2011. In 2011, she was accepted into Texas A&M’s College of Veterinary Medicine, where she met her now husband and business partner, Dr. Zachary Reynolds.
Dr. Zachary Reynolds was born and raised in west Texas. He discovered at an early age an interest in science and medicine and knew early on that he wanted to work in the medical field. He was raised in a family that always had pets in the house throughout all stages of his life, so he was always interested in the veterinary field. Before graduating high school, he decided after watching 50 First Dates that marine zoology was an interest and decided to go to veterinary school at Texas A&M to follow this interest. In vet school, it was soon apparent that canine and feline internal medicine was more interesting as he has always loved a good challenging case. He then focused his attention on small animal medicine and chose electives based on small animal specialties, such as neurology, dermatology, and emergency medicine. Dr. Reynolds met the love of his life, Dr. Jennifer Le, during his first few weeks of vet school.
After graduating in 2015, Drs. Le and Reynolds moved to Spring, TX and began working in various small animal clinics in the area. They always had a dream of owning their own practice, so they began early on searching for opportunities to accomplish this goal. In early 2019, they found the perfect location and established A Couple of Vets.
Dr. Le’s interests include internal medicine with a special interest in feline medicine, ultrasound, pain management, and soft tissue surgery. Dr. Reynolds’ interests include canine and feline internal medicine, neurology, dermatology, and pain management. They both have a passion for client education and providing quality medicine and care for their patients.
Drs. Le and Reynolds have a zoo at home that includes 4 foster-failed cats – Thor, Steven, Bruce, and Natasha – and 3 rescue dogs – Fender, a wire-haired dachshund mix; Gibson, a longhaired dachshund; and Lucky, a Tibetan terrier.
